When we go shopping we point out the size of clothing or whatever to get the right fitting article; but most important we can see, touch and finally try on what we mean to buy, to make sure it fits OK. To be able to try on something is very important, since it happens that we wear S size of one skirt and M or even L of another and both fit. That happens because different firms measure in different ways what should be standard sizes. Plus, in different countries the same measures have different sizes: so the USA X size differs from the European one, and more still, inside Europe they have different sizes according to the country: an X size shirt bought in France is not like one of the same size bought in Italy… For instance: the international size M that fits a belt line (waist measurement) of 29,94 inch. (cm. 76); for the British turns into size 14, for the Europeans size 40, for the French size 42 and for the Italians 46 …..a mess!!
Now forget all about it, if you don’t want to go nuts, and follow my instructions.
Simply take a tape measure, measure with it your belt line that we assume being 28,35 inch. (cm.72) and compare it with the measures of the clothing you are interested in, which you will find written below its picture (check the length measure as well to be sure): this way all should be for the better.
One or two inches (cm.) of difference in the waist measurement don’t make big difference, and I take the measures of the belt line of pants or skirts from the inside of it, so the thickness of the cloth wouldn’t alter them.
If you still have doubts about the size compare the cloth with one of your old ones:
spread the pants (skirt) zipped up on the table and measure the length of the waistline in the inside of it, then multiply it by two and you’ll get your belt line measures. So if the measure of your clothing by the waistline is 14,18 inch. (cm. 36), multiplying by two you get 28,35 inch. (cm. 72) which is the beltline we above assumed you have.
In my shop most of the clothing are multi-size (free size) so everything gets really much easier: let us see about it...
Most of the pants and skirts I selected for my shop have stretchy (elastic) belts, so there should be no problems to wear them. Among the various information about my clothes you will find two measures: one with the belt at loose, and one with the belt stretched at the most. xample: min. belt line 18,11 inch. (cm. 46): max. belt line 35,43 inch. (cm.90). This means that these clothes can be worn from women with a belt line in between these two extreme measurements; practically almost anyone.

Among the many pants there are the fisherman pants, a sort of very large, casual clothing that you have to fold around your body and fix with laces that are sewn on the back of it. The belt line of these pants is 53,54 inch. (cm. 136) As you can imagine these pants fit anyone, at the same time they look charming on almost any woman.
I also write below the picture of the clothes the length of them, skirts and pants, and this too, of course, it is taken from the waist line downwards.
